There have been reports that upwards of 2 feet of snow fell along the Anchorage Hillside, with Eagle River seeing up to 14 inches of snow. The last measurement for Anchorage showed that we received 9 inches of snow Wednesday, breaking the previous record set back in 1982. Travel will remain very difficult today, as many areas have seen several inches of snowfall. While that has been the case, there were some reports of rain through parts of the Mat-Su Valley through the night, which will lead to some slick conditions on the roads. As a result of this, snow stayed through the night, with little transition to rain for the region. The track of the low took more of a northerly track, leaving many areas in the cold sector of the low.
